My name is Teo Bishop.
I author the blog, Bishop In The Grove.
I see my writing as a form of ministry and service, as much a way of reaching out as reaching in. I write to be heard, but also to allow others to express their voices, their experiences, their knowledge of the Divine. While on a Druidic path (ADF, OBOD) I honor all traditions, including my own upbringing in the Episcopal church. I believe that it is only through a synthesis of lived experience that a true knowledge of spirituality may evolve.
My work centers on the meaning and enactment of ritual in personal and public ceremony, on the place of creativity and personal expression in Pagan traditions, and on the integration of mind (critical thinking) with heart (intuitive knowing). I keep my ear carefully tuned to the rhythms of the Pagan community, searching out ways to explore, express, and explode the deepest issues we face, whether ancient or contemporary. My writing is always an effort to involve others, to create “a space for dialogue beneath the sacred oaks.”
I am currently at work on my first book, and I blog at Bishop in the Grove, published at Patheos.com.
